The 45min Podcast Editing, Publishing and Marketing Workflow you need to try

In this blog post, I’m going to show you how you can to fully edit, publish and create all your marketing for your podcast episode in under 45 minutes using just 2 tools: Hindenburg and Capsho.

Why Hindenburg?

As a podcaster without a technical audio background, I found myself struggling with all the different audio editing tools out there that help you edit your podcast audio.

They were either 1) too complicated and overwhelming OR 2) too simplistic and didn’t give you enough control and nuance when editing.

Through this journey of trying to find the right editing tool, I discovered Hindenburg, which I have found to be intuitive and easy-to-use while still features that allow for detailed and intricate editing.

Speaking of features, Hindenburg has A LOT so in this post, I am going to focus on the 3 main features that I have found give you biggest bang for buck:

  1. The automatic volume-adjusting feature

  2. The edit tracks feature

  3. The backing track music feature

1. The automatic volume-adjusting feature
Simply drag and drop your audio file into the program and Hindenburg will automatically adjust and optimize the volume of the audio.

This feature is a huge time saver, and it ensures that your podcast sounds great no matter what microphone or recording setup you are using.

2. The edit tracks feature
This feature is a game-changer for podcast episodes that have multiple tracks (for example, podcasts with narration overlays) as it allows you to easily adjust the placement of different tracks.

Simply drag and drop your audio files into their desired locations, click on the track you want to edit and make your changes.

You can also add new tracks by clicking on the "Add Track" button. Once you're finished, be sure to save your changes by clicking on the "Save" button.

3. The music backing track feature
Once you have added your music backing track, you can also easily move and adjust their volume so that they don't overpower the spoken word.

This is just a quick overview of my favorite features of Hindenburg that podcasters can take advantage of.

In addition to these, Hindenburg also includes a wide range of effects that can be used to enhance your audio such as EQ, compression, and reverb. There's also a noise reduction tool that can be used to remove any unwanted background noise.

So if you want to save time while producing professional-sounding podcast audio, try Hindenburg out today!

So you’ve edited your podcast. But what about the marketing? Say Hello to Capsho.

A slick, professionally-edited podcast episode means nothing if you’re not promoting it to your ideal listener so they get to listen to it.

But creating marketing assets like descriptions, show notes, social media captions, blog post etc. can be really tiring and overwhelming.

This is where Capsho comes in and is the second part of this workflow.

Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Upload your podcast audio file into Capsho and wait 10 min for it to do its thing

Step 2: View and edit the drafts that Capsho will create drafts for:

  1. Title

  2. Description

  3. Show Notes

  4. Blog Post

  5. Social Media Captions (Facebook / Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok)

  6. YouTube Description

  7. Promotional Email

  8. Bank of quotes

  9. Transcript

Step 3: Copy and paste each marketing asset into your publishing platform!

And that’s the simple 45-minute workflow that I use to create a professional-sounding podcast using Hindenburg and all my marketing assets for it using Capsho.
